The last few days have been spent adding support for widgets and rich notifications for Canorum. In addition to widgets and notifications I’ve added a few new features:
- Splash screen during first startup
- Recents page (blank for now, but the data is there)
- Genre tag cloud.
- Genre details page (blank for now)
- Artist promo image replacement every few weeks
- Greatly increased album art and artist promo image loading
- Toolbar hiding and dynamic coloring
There is still some more work to be done updating the notifications to use the new media session transport API, and a cache will need to be implemented to reduce album art loading time among multiple widgets, but the work is stable enough that a new beta release should be on the way in a few more days.
