Tacere 2.1.0

Just pushed version 2.1.0 of Tacere to the Google Play Store. https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.ciasaboark.tacere

This release includes a Material Design refresh, many bug fixes/speed improvements, and includes some additional features:
-select calendars to sync
-set a default ringer for each calendar
-share settings for each instance of a repeating event

The additional features require the Pro version of the app (an in-app purchase, or available to anyone that bought the previous donation key).

I also threw in some beta settings to configure some finer details, but the switch to enable these is hidden.

If the release goes well I’ll see about adding one or more home screen widgets, and possibly adding support for location based silencing.

Tacere 2.1.0 beta 4

Tacere 2.1.0 beta 4 pushed to the Play Store.

This release adds support for changing the ringer for all instances of a repeating event in one go. Apk is available from the GitHub repository.

If you have subscribed for beta releases through the Play Store then the update should begin automatically within a few hours. If you wish to test to the beta releases instructions on how to subscribe are available on the Tacere Beta community.

Tacere Beta Testing

Beginning beta testing for the backported version of Tacere. If anyone is interested in becoming a beta tester you will need to join the Tacere Beta community, then visit the Play Store listing to sign up to receive the beta releases. Once you sign up it may take a few hours for the Google Play Store to notice that there is an update available.

A number of features had to be disabled since Android Studio will not generate proper apps that can run on both the L preview as well as older releases, but this beta does include the following features that the current play store version does not:

-Events can be skipped (now works correctly for multiple active events)
-Basic support for filtering events by calendar
-Speed improvements
-Prettified layouts and icons
-Many bugfixes

Tacere Material Design Update

I’ve been working on updating my Android application to use some of the shiny new features in the L preview release. Hopefully Google will allow apps using the newest SDK to be released on the play store soon.
